Thematic Areas
What We Do
Nyono CBO
Youth Economic Empowerment (YEE)
Under this, youths are trained on Agribusiness, how to start and successfuly run and manage small businesses. This will ensure that youths get something for themselves and family for self reliance.
Through support from well wishers and organisations they are given some soft loans which attracts no interest to be their starting capital. It was realised that most youths can just start something but capital becomes their big problem.
This money is closely being followed by management to ensure that it’s goals are achieved. We give coaching, help look for market, linkages etc.
Digital community Library (DCL)
“Information is power” without information people perish. Nyono CBO would like to be at the center to ensure that youths are kept updated with information that could spur their growth both locally and internationally. In this our rural set up youths finds it difficult to get some important and urgent information, this is a challenge that must be solved.
Technology is the core thing in doing things in the today’s world. We need a community lab fitted with computer and properly networked to save this community and our youths.
As we engage in digital literacy, more of our youths will succeed in life and in doing things. We advocate for an informed generation of young people.
Do-it-yourself (DIY)
This is a program that deals with the youth health. A healthy youth Will build his or her Nation. This program aims at involving youths themselves in solving their health issues to ensure they remain relevant all time. Matters of HIV/AIDS, Early pregnancies in our teens, Early marriages and Sexually transmitted infections is still a challenge.
We work with youths both in school and out of school to address these challenges. Most youth s loose hope whenever uncertainty comes, this is why nyono CBO want to stand in this gap to offer guidance, counseling, provision of other necessities to help these youths become people in the society.
We need to run some small centers through well-wishers and Walk from school to school to achieve the laid down objectives.
